Booth Fun at HIE

If you're not presenting or performing at this year's Hypergrid International Expo, you can still be part of the fun. Everyone's welcome to join us as audience members, - and remember,  there will be 'subtitles' for all the talks, no matter the language! 

You can also be part of the Park - it's full of publicity booths! Just for fun, not for profit.
In the background of this photo you can see red and blue pyramids. Those are available spots for booths, the red ones mark older booths from a past event, the blue ones are new places. 

Yes, come and represent yourself, your region, grid or project, with a simple stand in the grounds of the auditorium. There are still a few spaces left, so don't delay!

HOW TO GET A BOOTH: You can pick up a booth on the HIE Welcome sim any time -

Call is a publicity stand, a kiosk, a market stall, or a booth... it's all the same thing.  Inside the booth kit is a fresh booth, ready to texture, a Notecard in 6 languages, explaining how to modify the booth, and a LM that will take you to see some of the booths already in place, for your reference.  The booths are by Mal Burns, and you will notice that they are primmy and super simple ! Yes,  that is a deliberate choice, for the following reasons: 1. to keep lag minimal, 2. to be a quick and easy thing to put together, because everyone's busy! and 3. if everyone has the same basic structure, we steer clear of the drama of a 'booth competition'. The booths are positioned along a winding path that is three regions long, so there will be about 60 booths altogether.

 You can pimp your booth with all kinds of textures, including animated ones, and personalize with objects (about ten is the usual amount) that may include free gifts, souvenirs, notecard and LM givers. You get the idea. 

Because there are a lot of booths, please don't include Media On A Prim aka MOAP
Why not? because a big crowd all clicking on multiple moaps = lag
You can still link to your website or video, a URL giver works well too - here is a link to the script if you don't have it. 

If you want to, give away a freebie or two, some LMs, possibly a Notecard about your stuff. 

This offer is open to all grids, not just the ones participating in the presentation part of the event. Please make your booth FULL PERMS including the scripts - and please don't include anything you do not wish to give away.
