The Hypergrid International Expo is lucky to have a huge number of talented people involved with the various aspects of the event !
We have some excellent speakers, some world class virtual performers, some well beloved grids and on top of all that, some great art. If you read this blog regularly, you will know that in the park that surrounds the auditorium there are Publicity booths or kiosks that celebrate the creativity and community of opensim.
But interwoven in to that long path around three regions, you will also find many pieces of virtual art.
Among the well-known names who have contributed to the art is Azi Az with this piece that sums up the challenge and the passion that communication creates in a global virtual society.
The specialty of Lorin Tone is sound, so his artistic install is an unusual aural experience. Enter the parcel with these orbs and you will be able to experience a wild ride in noises and voices. Sounds are limited to the parcel, so get up close to enjoy this unusual artwork! Nearby Lorin's booth has some gifts for you also.
Throughout the Park surrounding the auditorium, you'll find almost 70 booths or kiosks celebrating different grids, projects, groups, and installations from all over the hyperverse.
Among them are intermingled works by Tina Bey, expressing the joy, the vibrancy, and the challenges, of a world with many languages that can divide us as they can enchant us. It's a puzzle!
Floating above the auditorium regions, is the special Dance Floor for the Friday Night opening session of the conference.Made by Nyx Breen, shows pictures of the international team who have put together the event,
within a crossword-inspired framework that captures the names of some of our performers, and key expressions capturing the spirit of the event, along with a word or two you might have to look up in the dictionary...
Last but far from least, Cherry Manga has created a brand new show for the event, called Sky Haze. This light and sound show will be performed at the end of both days of the conference, over on HIE Welcome, so be sure not to miss it, and all out performers and contributors, to whom we say a heartfelt THANK YOU for all the time and talent you have poured into this event!
HIE Expo will be held from friday 6 October through Sunday 8 October on Craft Grid.
